Bitsturbed is an old-school, action-driven, sci-fi first person shooter. Think health bar with health pickups, fast paced combat, shotguns, rocket launchers, exploding barrels and a mass of other retro mechanics in a mix of 2D and 3D FPS action! Also available in software rendered goodness for those of you that prefer their GPUs to sit idle.
For Windows, with all Art, Programming and Design done by one man, me! Music done by a friend of mine, Scott Hunter.
Bitsturbed was developed in the ‘miniFPS’ engine that wal being developed alongside. It’s an engine of my own creation designed for pixel art games enjoying a mix of 2D and 3D. The tech behind it is inspired by games of the late 90s like Quake, Doom, Duke3D etc.
The art for Bitsturbed has a number of influences, some legitimately retro (Megaman, Duke3D), but also more modern games with retro themes.
